Kona Inn Banana Nut Bread

2 cubes of butter

3-4 very ripe bananas

2 ½ sifted flour

2 tsp baking soda

2 cups sugar

4 well beaten eggs

1 tsp salt

1 cup chopped walnuts

Cream butter and sugar for 15 minutes (this is very important).  Add mashed bananas and eggs, blend well.  Add in sifted dry ingredients, but do not over mix.  Bake in a well greased pan at 375 for 45 to 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out dry.  Recipe makes 2 loaves or one angel food pan.

This recipe was given to me many years ago by my mother-in-law after she made a trip to Hawaii.  It is the BEST banana nut bread I have ever tasted and everyone wants the recipe once they have tasted it.
