Grandma’s Favorite Coffee Cake

2 ¼ cups flour

½ tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

½ tsp ginger

1 cup light brown sugar

¾ cup white sugar

¾ cup oil

Mix all ingredients together.

Set aside one cup for topping.

In the remaining dough add 1 beaten egg, one cup of buttermilk, one tsp baking soda, one tsp baking powder and 1 tsp of cinnamon.  Mix well and pour into a 9 x 10 pan.

To the one cup of topping, add 1 cup of chopped nuts and sprinkle over the top of the cake.

Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes.
